A/C FAN 6 Months, 1 Week ago
MY A/C UNIT IS IN THE ATTIC. THE FAN WILL NOT COME ON. THE COMPRESSOR IS WORKING, AND THE FAN SOUNDS LIKE IT IS STARTING TO COME ON, BUT NEVER STARTS MOVING AIR.

First thing is to make sure your filter is clean. Also check that your thermostat is in the a/c or cool position. If still no luck after you check these items please get back to me.

I JUST REPLACED THE FILTERS. I TRIED IT IN BOTH THE HEAT AND A/C MODE. SAME RESULTS, JUST A HUM LIKE IT IS TRYING TO ENGAGE. THANKS

OK, just wanted to make sure you didn't over look those things. OK. a hum sound. Almost sounds like the you have a belt driven fan with the belt off or the motor is stuck. 1st. make sure the fan is in place and with POWER off try to turn the fan by hand and see if it moves freely.
