Concrete porch and steps 2 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello, my question is how to remove old adhesive (from outdoor carpet that's been removed) off my back porch and steps that are concrete. I've tried to do some research and still don't know which method is best or easiest. The adhesive is not over the entire concrete surface but is in patches and is yellowish and looks terrible. After removing the adhesive, I'd like to use an acrylic stain to make the concrete space look better. Can you help. I have no money to pay a contractor. I'll have to do it myself. Thanks!

Sure thing, you can try using lacquer thinner on the glue. No lacquer removes anything for the most part. But since it's concrete your working with you may be better of letting it sit for awhile, like ten minutes and using a scrub brush, brush it off and wipe clean with a rag. Don't use water to help because the lacquer is a oil based product. You also have some luck or even better luck with mineral spirits. This really depends on the type of glue that was used.

Now staining the concrete is easy but has a few steps involved. The best advise for that would be to read the instructions of the concrete stain. Good luck and let me know how you make out..
