I have some old antique oak hard wood flooring, red, black, white and red/white that I want to install on a entrance wall. How do I best remove the old goop, glue, varnish, finish from the tongue and grooves?

The best way would be to use a varnish remover with seal wool. You may have to do this a few times depending on the look you want.
