I have been asked to faux paint on concrete type pillars. I am going to use acrylic paint and sponge the colors on. I am having trouble because the paint tends to dry quickly before I can sponge them together to mottle the colors. Can I use a paint extender with the paint or do you have another solution?

You can use a retarder in the paint or even wait for moist or very humid day. This will help on not drying the paint as fast.
