WATER PIPE INSIDE WALL-BRICKS ABSORBED WATER 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Major problem. Apparently a water pipe is leaking inside the wall causing the outer tiles to drip water continuously. The plumbers have installed external pipes, so the water could go through them instead of the ones placed inside the wall. BUT, the water has not stopped dripping. They told me that the bricks inside the wall have absorbed water and until they dry out the wall tiles will continue to drip. However, i am possibly having a nervous breakdown because i am constantly mopping. They ve told me that it needs two weeks until it dries out. Is there any way around this long wait? Is this estimation right? Please help me! It's driving me nuts. Thanks

Hi, sorry for the delay, I was away for Thanksgiving.

OK, this does not sound right. Just how much water are we talking about. I really never heard of this before. One for the books. I'm thinking that the water leak was never fixed right, or perhaps there are other pipes in the wall that need repairing. When I go out to fix a leak, thats it, done.

You could turn the water off for that area of the house, or turn all the water for the whole house off, release the pressure in the pipes by opening a faucet and see after 30 minutes if you still have water leaking or not.

If you don't, well you have other leaks..
If you do then your plumber may be right, but I really doubt it.

Please let me know how you made out...

Regards.. Dominick Happy Thanksgiving..
