The first thing you would do is to disassemble the trap witch is found under the sink. There is a part of it that looks like a U remove this part by unscrewing (big round nut( could be black or white. And then make sure it's clear, if not remove any blockage and reassemble, check for leaks. Let me know how you made out and if you need any more help..
