Hi. I have a circuit breaker in my garage that keeps switching off my circuit breakers are 10amp I was wondering if i can change them for 20 or 30 amp breakers. the cables that i saw in my wall outlet were 12 gauge

Hi, 12 gauge wire is rated for up to a 20 amp breaker. Now the important thing here is that you have 12 gauge wire from the breaker and all the way to the outlet, so make sure that you do have 12 gauge wire at the breaker and you will be fine replacing that breaker with a 20 amp.

Now a question to you, how old is the house or breaker panel.
Are there CFI outlets attached to that circuit.
