Bath tub redo. 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Our full bath has white tile board on the walls that is 20 years old and needs replacement. Our tub is 40 years old with a minimal finish. We are moving within the year and need to upgrade the tub area. The rest of the bathroom -toilet, fixtures, tile floor etc has been done. We have one option of Bath Fitters at $3500 for tub and wall liners. Our other option is reglaze the tube for $500 and replace the walls with new tile board at $25 for each 4x8 board and labor costs.
Do we get back that extra money on the redo, or is the second option a do-able alternative? What are your thoughts and your choice if different?

Thanks
Julie

Hi julie, you can never ever go wrong making a better looking bathroom. I a prospected buyers eyes, it's done and we don't have to do it. Means better sale for you. I have seen the reglaze before and to tell you the truth I wasn't impressed. However $3500 seems kind of expensive. For $3500 you should be getting tile walls not wall liners.

but all and all, new is new and you can't go wrong. Even with a reglaze the fixtures are still old.

If you need more help please feel free to just ask..
