Kitchen sinks

PoorBest

When I'm remodelling a kitchen  I see that many home owners don't know the difference's of stainless steal

sinks. Well first off there is something called gauge, gauge is referring to how think that sink

is. Don't look at it as in strength, look at it as in noise. That tinny sound you get when you drop a fork

in it. Not to mention the thicker the better. The lower the gauge number the thicker the steal is.

SOUND DAMPING

Many cheaper sink to come with a sound damping on the outside of the sink. This can come as a

spray on or a clued on mat like. Either one is better then none at all.

DEPTH.

OK, this one is up to you. You know those cheap sinks you see at Home Depot for like $19.99

Well chances are that they are very shallow, like 6 inches or so. So just how many dishes can you stack

in that sink. OK, better yet, how about when you turn the water on and it splatters back out because the

sink is to shallow. Humm, I'll take the deeper one my self.

PRICE..

This one you got to love, how is it that for $19.99 you can buy a sink that looks good, but for the same sink

but a few inches deeper you may pay a lot more. I don't know, maybe I'm just missing something here.

Any way, a stainless steal sink can be from any where from $10 to well over $700. I  mean there is

a difference, but WOW not that much.

So when your looking for a sink just look for those big words on the box.

GOOD, BETTER and BEST. I think better works for most of us.
