clogged shower drain

This video will show you how to unclog that slow drain in your bathtub or shower drain without using those harsh chemicals.  If you've never seen the inside a drain before, you're in for a surprise -- it can be a little nasty.  Think of it this way, it came off your body! LOL.

How to solder a pipe

How to soder copper pipe

When doing a repair, first make sure that you get all the water out of the pipe.  Trust me, there is nothing worse than trying to heat a fitting up when there is water inside the pipe / fitting.  I like to cut the pipe open, then use a coupling to put that area back together. Sweating copper is very easy, it only seems hard.  A few things to always know.

Kitchen faucet aerator

Clean your sink aerator.

Have you ever noticed how your water just doesn't come out like it used to? In this video, I'll show you how to fix it.  Chances are, that the faucet aerator is plugged up with something.  This can be due to deposits from hard water or just dirt in the water.  The aerator screws on to the end of most kitchen and bathroom faucets.  The aerator lets air into the stream of water, thus aerating it.  You just need to unscrew it, and off it comes. You need to take it apart to clean the dirt out of the screen and other little parts.  The trick is to make sure that you put it together the same way you took it apart.  now, done!  Simple, and now you should have better water flow.

If you're looking straight down on top of your faucet you turn it to the right (clockwise) to remove it.
