If your estimator is well dressed and wants to sit you down at the kitchen table with lots of pictures, put up your guard and cross your legs.  You are about to be taken for a ride.  I'm not saying you would get ripped off here.  But it's a good chance you will be.  As a contractor with more than 25 years of experience, I always do my own estimates.  For two reasons, one; so we are both on the same page. And two, why should YOU have to pay a sales-man as well as the contractor?
