Sure there are lots of reasons to use and not use laminated flooring. Check for your self.

Oh sure, I love it. If you have kids running around and pets it's a great alternative to real oak hardwood flooring. However, not always the best choice. Laminate will last a long time, but real 3/4 inch thick oak flooring will last a lifetime. Oh yeah, it will also cost you a lot more. To where anyone can install a laminated floor in the matter of hours it's so true with a real solid wood floor. Take a look at my video and you'll see what I mean.

I will be installing Allure in our living room. Been considering this for awhile, and decided this is the time. Already took up the carpeting and have a concrete foundation. Here is my question: what is the best way to join the new Allure floor to the kitchen/hallway vinyl flooring? Do you just "butt it" up to the other flooring and put something over the seam? Thanks for your help. Love your videos.

You would use a transition strip. either a wood or metal one. Very easy to install. Just go to the store and ask for one and you'll see what I mean.

NO you can not. You can install laminate flooring over hardwood but not hardwood over laminate

Iam looking to know what kind of flooring should I use in a wet basement? Can you give me a few suggestion that I can do it myself and are inexpensive?

In a wet basement, well that's a tough one. Well anything made of wood is out of the question. Laminate is really out of the question. I mean how wet are we talking about ? Ceramic tile, maybe. For the most part if you have a wet basement no floor should go down. But perhaps a epoxy painted floor would be best

Can Allure flooring be used in places subject to north east extreme temperatures?
