Please briefly explain why you feel this question should be reported.

I’m in the process of remodeling my kitchen and I will be moving the oven to a location further from the breaker panel so I’m running a complete new wire. I tested the existing line this morning before getting to work and the wire is pushing 247-253v… Should this concern me going through a 220 v wire and if so how would I “drop the power” in the breaker panel. Current breaker configuration is 2 110v lines into a double 40A breaker.

    That’s pretty normal. Watch my video on how to test for power and you’ll see I have same as you. How to Check for Volts at a 120 and 220 Volt Outlets
