dimmer switch in a hallway

I installed a dimmer switch in a hallway. Two switches, one on each end of the hall. I replaced one switch with the dimmer. The hall has two lights in the ceiling. I replaced the two lights with two new led lights. The instructions for the lights gave me several options for dimmer switches that could be used with those lights and I bought one of the recommended dimmers. Before, I could turn the lights on/off at either switch. Now, if I turn the lights off at one switch only that switch will turn the lights back on. The dimmer is wired the same as the previous switch. As it happens, I am using the same dimmer that you used in an instructional video about 3 years ago. I’ve watched the video several times and I just can’t figure out what I have done wrong. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you’re not using a three-way switch.
