Hello,

Thank you for the support and the videos you provide they are very helpful.

Okay so I purchased a home about a week ago.  3 and a half bath rooms baseboard heat. Oil furnace with private well water.  I knew of the water issues before I purchase but the deal was too good to pass up. I originally had no water pressure in any of the fixtures. (Sinks toilets showers) I cleaned the screens in the sinks and found large amounts of minerals.  Toilet tanks were gummed up. Cleaned all that stuff cold water pressure improved everywhere except one bathroom shower. And hot water is very minimal. I changed the pressure switch from a 30/50 to a 40/60 ( thanks to your video ) cold water pressure is perfect now everywhere except the one shower and low hot water everywhere.

I drained the baseboards because I had to repair a pipe so I don’t think there’s any air in the line. I shut off the valve after where the water line goes into the furnace and hooked up the hose hopping to flush it but the pressure coming out was low just like fixtures. I switched the hose to the line before it goes into the furnace and it sprayed like a pressure washer.

What could be the possible cause to this ? I’m sure it’s more than one possibility so how do I rule them out ? Why would every fixture have great cold water pressure except one ?  Why would you have cold pressure but not hot ? Why would every fixture have some hot water and one have none at all. Being a first time home owner I really don’t have the money to pay for a plumber or hvac guy please help me.

Ps: I have pictures I can email but file is to big for website loading

Hi Shawn, first off sorry for the delay. I didn’t see your question in the Q until just now.

Ok, what kind of hot water heater do you have? I’m thinking you have very hard water and your hot water comes from your boiler?

If that’s the case it sounds like your hot water coil is clogged up. Let me know ok.. Also pictures would be great. You can just post them right here.
