Finishing up my basement. How do I determine the size of the breaker in the main panel? I’m going to have (5) 15 amp breakers and (1) 20 amp breaker. I’m looking at approx. 3000 watts (rounded up), for the finished area, including TV’s, lights, outlets, air hockey and arcade game. Your video on installing a subpanel used a 50 amp in the main panel. is that a normal size for a finished basement?

Yes moreless 50 amp in a sub panel for a basement is normal. But then again what is normal, lol.. The main panel breaker will have a number on it stating how many amps it is.
So for what you’re saying you’ll have a 50 is more than ok..
