I bought a garage heater that plugs into a 220 outlet, but the plug is a 6-30 and my outlets are the basic 20a-220v type. The circuit is on a 30a breaker. How can I make this work?

If your heater came with a 30 amp plug that must mean it needs 30 amps. Check to see if there is a label on the heater stating the amps. If it’s under 20 amp then just change the plug.
