Hello, I have an air compressor that is a 220 20 amp 3 prong male plug. I have a generator that is a 220 30 amp 4 prong female.
I am trying to make an extension cord so I can use it outside, is there anyway I can do this. I have tried but not an expert on electrical.
Thank you

Chances are you don’t have a neutral for the compressor. So in that case you’ll just need to wire the two hots and the ground. Or substitute the ground for the neutral.
