Hello I enjoy all of your videos very much. I am buying a home and will have carpet on my stairs. My question is if I want to put laminate floor on the stairs 1. do I have to sand the wood after removing the carpet? and 2. if I want white risers can I just paint the wood that is there white or do I have to install a white riser? thank you so much.

It’s really going to depend on what the stairs look like. That’s such a hard question to answer without seeing them. When you can post a picture. But normally you could just paint the risers. And as far as sanding the treads that would depend on if they glued the carpet down or not.
