I have a Nema 10 30 female plug that has 2 red,black and white wires going to it. Why? Thanks for reading this!

    ok, thank you I will. also has 2 black wires to it and 2 whites

    Two red? Never seen that before. You’ll have to test them with a voltage tester to see what you really have. Remember, electricity does not know colors.
