Best Wire for 220 volt 4 wire outlet for a stove

I am a new do it yourself-er. I’ve watch your videos. I am going to be installing a 4 wire, 220 volt, breaker and outlet for a stove. The wire will be traveling less than 20 feet. What is your recommendation for the best wire to use?

    Most today installs will require a 50 amp wire. However, you may only need 40 amp. But I would go for the 50 amp.
