Was working on a house today built in the ’80s. The owner had me replace 3 ceiling fans and swap out a chandelier. In the front room, the ceiling fan was on 2 3 way switches…power was constant. Not sure if a bad switch or miswired yet, didn’t have time to really look at it. Then 2 bedrooms, with ceiling fans, Constant power there too. 1 switch per room, but it looked like they used a 3-way switch, and there was a traveler wire on each. Due to the short time, I couldn’t get to the breaker to check the load, but something seems off. Any ideas what I might be looking at? Not sure if I want to take it apart or have the owner get someone with more knowledge.

Hmm, seems a little strange. Are you really sure? What kind of tester were you using?
