Workmen replacing some damaged siding found that the siding toward the top of roof, attic area,is nailed into 2×4 posts, and there’s no plywood. You can see into the attic between the 2×4 posts since there are no plywood “walls”. Without removing all of the siding, can the plywood be added from inside the attic?

Adding plywood from the inside would be one heck of a trick. Believe it or not it’s not very important. Strange yes but the attic is a unheated / cooled area. However the heat alone would cause the siding to freak out so I would install the plywood.
