Thank you very much for your last reply.. as i said before im in nova scotia and trying to find the pool shock which is next to impossible.. i contacted a pool place out west and he told me that pool shock is the same as chorline granular just they call it shock to charge more. ifound a store here thatsells aquarius 65% chorline granular pool chemical in 18kg pail.. will this work and if so how much chlorine do i use towater.. is it1/3 gallon of that to 2/3 gallon of water.. again thanks so much.. your the best

Absolutely that is not the same, not even close. A liquid pool shock is Sodium Hypochlorite, a extremely strong bleach.
