Hello, just purchased a home and it is oil fired for heat and hot water. I was going to pay someone to maintain it for its yearly maintenance. I watched your video on changing the filter which I will be attempting to do.  A couple questions.  If I do not bleed the oil what would happen?  Also what else needs to be done to the furnace to keep it maintained?  Thank you so much

If you don’t bleed it, it will stop working. There are two filters on your system. One is in the pump and the other is the one you’re asking about. The pump filter should be replaced as well.

Having someone that knows come out for the first time at least would be a good idea. You’ll want to know that it is firing right and with the right flame. Things like that.
