Why do you think my roof turned from blue gray?

Hi Dominick, I used 2 gallons water 1 gallon SH and 6oz of Ajax orange dish soap in my pump up sprayer. I rinsed it off and now it looks gray. The shingles were originally blue and I did a test sample so I can see the results and compare and contrast. now half of the roof is gray and blue. The roof is about 12 years old. I just wanted to know what you think and if you think I could have dun something to keep the blue.

    Yeah that has happened before. Just do it again and again. Making sure you rinse it. It’s a very different type of mold is what you have. Rinse hard.
