I am in Baton Rouge , la and I have a house that flooded. I have removed the drywall four foot up from the floor. My question do you have any suggestions on how to float the existing drywall already mudded to the new drywall. I am concerned that it will be hard to do without leaving a hump of mud. This would really help others in this area!

This is always the case no what if you were replacing all the sheetrock. Many just don’t really realize it. Check any wall with a straight edge and you’ll see that for yourself.

However, there is a tape out there called “Butt-Tape” made for the ease of butt joints. Check out “Straight flex. com and look for butt tape.
