what is the best paint to use to paint my kitchen cabinets, oil base, satin or latex . I want the cabinets to have sheen/ shine. The paint I’m using the color is coffee bean.

Oil paint is not the way to go. So a latex based paint would be the way. But MAKE SURE you sand them down. Not a lot, but enough to take the dirt, grease and the sheen off and then use a good primer.
