Replacing my basement door. This store will be fastened to 2 x 6 which are embedded in the concrete wall. Can I install WRB To the 2×6 from and have it wrap outside to the concrete wall? My concern is that the Wrb attached to the concrete just past my brick mould will detach over time.

Essentially….how can I waterproof my new basement door during installation. I am replacing a door installed by previous owner 7 yrs ago because it leaks like a basket. Not sure as I am working with concrete foundation…not a typical above grade exterior door.

Same way really. Once fastened to the concrete just caulk it. But also caulk it behind the flange to the concrete. If I understand you correctly

Sorry….Used wrong abbreviation. Here is my situation.I have installed exterior doors above grade before with no problem. Applied flashing tape to sill, head and up both sides of jam directly to exterior wall then covered by tyvec wrb.Of course all of this is covered by vinyl siding and cannot be seen. With a basement door there is concrete only to attach to.Do I use butyl tape….or just caulk the heck around brickmold to ensure no leakage.I also install a sill pan on all my doors.
