Doorbell ringer / transformer

Hi Dominick,

Wanted to see if you knew what was going on with my doorbell ringer in the photo attached. Keen to replace this with the new Ring doorbell, and wanted to know if that is a doorbell chime/ringer and a transformer in one, or if the transformer would be somewhere else? (I have looked but to no avail so far).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Yeah that’s a very old style transformer, so it seems anyway. I’m not sure you could get one like that anymore. If you can’t you’ll have to add one. That’s not going to be super easy.
