My bedroom ceiling has different angles, none of them are a defined edge. they are all slightly rounded. how do I create a straight line. I was going to measure eight feet from the floor, put points close together along the line I want to create and then use a straight edge to paint along the line. is there an easier way or more accurate way to do this.

Without seeing it’s kinda hard to really say but it sounds like you have a good idea.
Lots of times I just run tape in a straight line.
