What I’m trying to figure out is 3 way switches. I have 3 switches. 2 existing one that I would like to wire in. On a new room. I have 12/3 wire. And 12/2 I believe they are the travelers but not 100 % sure. They are not hot. But when I connect the hot to them the two existing lights come on. The picture won’t load. So I can’t send one.

First thing first. For three switches you’ll need to wire a 4 wire switch between the two 3-ways. Watch my video on 4 ways. How to install a 4 way switch
